In Citizenship & Majority Rule, the team explores
the meaning of democracy through three stories highlighting personal & communal responsibilities.

Voices Seldom Heard — Ashley Nelson, 19 year-old resident of New Orleans, wrote her first book, The Combination, at the age of 18. A resident of the 6th Ward, Ashley’s neighborhood stands nearly deserted in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Join Ashley in a conversation about the responsibilities of a nation to its people and people to each other.

Nick’s Main Street Market — When the town of Truman, Minnesota was in danger of losing its last grocery store, 18 year-old Nick Graham stepped in, bought the business and set up shop. Believing that any community needs a thriving business environment to succeed, Nick’s work ethic and Midwest values have kept the Main Street Grocery store on the map in Truman, Minnesota.

Children’s Bilingual Theater of Marietta, Georgia — Dedicated to bringing a diverse theater experience to everyone, 14 year-old Jordan Schwartz started her own theater company. By combining elements of both Spanish and English language, the Children’s Bilingual Theater helps bring the two communities closer together.
